VIETNAM ALLOWS ENTRANTS WHO HAVE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED AND RECOVERED FROM COVID TO BE SELF-QUARANTINED AT HOME FOR THREE DAYS
On the afternoon of 16/12/2021, the Ministry of Health issued a guideline regarding prevention of the Covid epidemic for arrivals that takes effect from 01/01/2022. Specifically, for those entering Vietnam who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from Covid, with a negative PCR test, they will only need to seft-isolated at home for 3 days instead of enter centralized quarantine for 7 days.
Accordingly, before entering the country, people entering the country must have a negative test result and make a medical declaration.
When entering Vietnam, foreign entrants must install and use a medical declaration application (PC-Covid) to make medical declarations and monitor health according to Vietnam’s regulations.
During the first 3 days from the date of entry, they must self-monitor their health at the place of residence (including houses, hotels, motels, dormitories, etc.), do not allowed to contact people around, not to leave the place of residence.
On the 3rd day from the date of entry, the person must be tested for SARS-CoV-2 by RT-PCR. If the result is negative, they will be required to monitor their health until the end of 14 days from the date of entry. In case the test result is positive, it will be handled according to regulations.
